Overview:

BluePrint BP38318SP GM Small Block Compatible performance short block engine have been dyno tested at our factory with a Holley Classic 750cfm Carburetor and H8002K Cylinder heads and produced 436 horsepower and 443 minimum torque. Not every BP38318SP is Dyno tested. This performance shows the capabilities of this engine. Performance may vary depending upon what cylinder heads, fuel system and intake manifold you choose.  This engine features a 4-inch bore which mathematically yields a 377ci with a 3.75-inch stroke. This customizable engine comes with timing cover, harmonic balances, oil pan, hydraulic roller cam, with a 1.6-inch rocker arm, and a high-volume oil pump.

Rotating Assembly:

  • Cast Crankshaft
  • 3.750" Stroke
  • New Rods with 150,000 PSI Bolts
  • Hypereutectic Pistons, 12cc Dish
  • Hastings Moly Rings 

Cam Specs w/ 1.6 Rocker Arm:

  • Hydraulic Roller Cam 
  • .544 Intake / .555 Exhaust Lift
  • 230 Intake / 236 Exhaust Duration
  • @ .050-110 Degree Lobe Separation

Ignition Timing:

  • 34 Degrees Total (at 3500 RPM)

Notes:

  • This engine features a true 4-inch bore, which mathematically yields 377 CID with a 3.75-inch stroke.
  • This engine requires a weighted 8'' harmonic balancer (included), and late 350ci weighted flexplate/flywheel.
  • The horsepower and torque numbers derived from Dyno testing with a 750cfm Carb, and with H8002K Cylinder head installed.
  • NOT for use in pollution-controlled vehicle.
